Teddy bears are needle felted by hand from the core to the very last finishing touch. While they are sturdy enough to cuddle their appearance will be altered in the washing machine

This baby blanket is of soft flowing rayon that washes wonderfully. I have seen it after many washings since I made this one for my grandson!

Several years ago I learned to weave and that became the beginning of a relationship with fiber that continues to grow and become a wonderful part of my life. I went from weaving to drop spindling to wheel spinning to needle felting and then got out the old knitting needles. In fact I was relaxing so much that the yarn stash was growing and growing. Time to think about what to do with all this yarn! More than I could use even with my adding knitting and needlefelting. And so was born a cottage industry     Fiber On The Mountain
